Canary island lavender is a tender evergreen lavender with finely-cut ferny, fresh green foliage. It has branching spikes of pale blue to violet flowers in summer. The species is half-hardy, needing frost-free winter protection, but can be planted out in summer. Well drained neutral to alkaline soil and full sun. Dislikes wet conditions.[1]
