Vicenza blue is a cultivar of lavender from the English lavender species (Lavandula angustifolia). Flowering the first year from seed, 'Vicenza Blue' is a variety to evoke the scents and unforgettable appeal of a Mediterranean summer. Fragrant and free-flowering, it produces all summer long, large, deep blue flower spikes as an abundant crown over the compact, bushy, fragrant foliage. Flowers and foliage can be dried for fragrant reminders of summer in the long winter months.[1]
