John Innes No.1 is used for pricking out or potting-up young seedlings or rooted cuttings. This compost has a carefully balanced nutrient content to suit most young plants.[1]
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
For each cubic metre of mix, the following is added:
- 0.6kg (1lb 5oz) ground lime
- 1.2kg (2lb 10oz) hoof and horn
- 1.2kg (2lb 10oz) superphosphate
- 0.6kg (1lb 5oz) potassium sulphate
