Trinidad scorpion is reputed to be an extremely hot variety of chilli. The plants are tall, upright and reasonably productive bearing 5-7½cm (2-3in) long pendant pods which taper to a sharp point. The pods mature from green to orange and finally red approximately 90-120 days after transplanting (similar to some of the other long season chinese varieties). In terms of pungency, the pods of this rare and much sort after variety are outrageously hot.[2]
