The 'Chinese five colour chilli produces multiple different coloured fruit from the same plant. The dark foliage provides an excellent backdrop to the 2½-5cm (1-2in) peppers, which grow as upright conical pods and ripen from purple to cream to yellow to orange and finally to red.[2]
