Chervena chushka is a Bulgarian heirloom sweet pepper, traditionally used for roasting, but also used raw. The fruit's flesh is bright-red and very sweet, almost candy-like. Tapered fruits are 5cm (2in) at the shoulder by 15cm (6in) long, ripening from green to brown to red.[2]
