Lemon thyme (Thymus × citriodorus) is a low growing herbaceous plant, sometimes becoming somewhat woody. It is native to southern Europe and is much cultivated as a culinary herb. It can be more difficult to grow than common thyme. If over-fertilised it will grow into a large, bushy plant with little flavour. Without fertilising it, it won't produce much of a crop.[5]
