Sowing[edit | edit source]

Sow indoors from January to March for greenhouse crops, March to April for outdoor crops. Sow thinly in pots or trays of seed compost, cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Keep at approximately 15-20°C (60-68°F). Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days.[1]

Transplanting[edit | edit source]

When plants reach a height of 15cm (6in) transplant to individual pots and keep at approximately 15°C (60°F).

Greenhouse[edit | edit source]

Transplant to growing positions April-May.[1]

Outdoor[edit | edit source]

Stand outside for a few days in late May (avoid frosts). Transplant to a sunny spot outside.[1]

Aftercare[edit | edit source]

Pinch out side shoots regularly and growing tips once 5-6 trusses have set. Apply a liquid feed every 2-3 weeks when first trusses have set.[1]

Harvest[edit | edit source]

Once fruit is fully ripened.
