Sow in a prepared seed bed. Sow thinly in rows 25cm (10in) apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cn (½in) of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear in 14-21 days.
When 7.5-10cm (3-4in) tall; transplant to final positions with 60cm (2ft) between plant rows. Firm plants in well.
Keep moist and weed free.
February to May. Cut shoots when 15cm (6in) long. Pick young shoots regularly to encourage further cropping.
