The Chantenay red cored 2 is a stocky, wedge shaped carrot with a small core.

thinly where they are to crop, 1.5cm (½in) deep directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Allow 30cm (1ft) between rows.[1]

Early sowings may benefit from cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days.[1]

Regular sowings made every three weeks will ensure a continuous supply of young roots.[1]

Roots can be lifted in autumn. Remove soil and store in dry sand.[1]
